Does cutting hair by the Moon make it grow faster?

Lunar haircut calendars describe a tradition, not an established way to change hair growth. A “good day” on La Lune means that the date meets our traditional rating rules. It does not guarantee a better haircut, faster growth or thicker hair.

What does this calendar use?

Our ratings combine Moon phase, tropical Moon sign and the traditional lunar day. The four levels are very favorable, favorable, neutral and less favorable. Different calendars can disagree because they use different rules.

Is a waxing Moon the same as a good haircut day?

No. Waxing describes the increasing illuminated part of the Moon. Some lunar traditions associate it with growth, but our haircut rating also uses the sign and lunar day. It cannot be read as a growth-only recommendation.

What does the next date mean?

The highlighted date is the next day rated good or very good in the available calendar. If today qualifies, the card says “Good today” and shows the next later qualifying date separately. Open that date to inspect its rating.

Should I change a useful appointment?

There is no need to cancel a suitable appointment because of a lunar rating. Your hair’s condition, the style you want and advice from your stylist are more relevant to the practical result. Use lunar timing only if you enjoy the tradition.
